strength

We saw grammie great today and she is amazing! She was moved into the Rehabilitation Unit yesterday afternoon and is starting her rehab. She will do about 3 hours of rehab a day. The therapists and nurses say she is doing great. And since today is friday, her hair day, my mom was going to be curling her hair. I love that at 94 she is still concerned about her appearance. I hope to have the strength that she has as I get older - I think she could run circles around me right now. It is amazing to hear her talk - she has always and continues to give God all of the glory for everything that happens in her life. She praises God for the surgeon who did her hip replacement and knows that God brought the right person for the job. I pray that I will always remember to give God the honor for all things in my life. She gains her strength from the Lord and will tell you that!

Ellie Grace and Lily were so excited to see Grammie Great - she looks so good. Although I think they really enjoyed "sharing" her treats - we brought some goodies the other day and my aunt brought See's Candies. They did have fun grazing on grandma's goodies. They do not realize how fortunate they are to have a great grandmother and one who is so vital and capable. She is a treasure.

This is my grandma with her namesake (my little Ellen "Ellie") - I cannot believe that she had major surgery on Monday - this is just Friday - 4 days since her surgery. She is doing unbelievably well.
